The 17th Annual Great Communicators welcomes baseball legend Cal Ripken Jr. to the stage!
Ripken is baseball's all-time "Iron Man." After 21 seasons with the Baltimore Orioles, Ripken retired in 2001. His name appears in the record books repeatedly, most notably as one of only eight players in history to achieve 400 home runs and 3,000 hits. In 1995, Ripken broke Lou Gehrig's record for consecutive games played - 2,130.
Ripken will talk about his "love of the game" and help to put the spotlight on many and varied programs of Columbus Speech & Hearing Center including
audiology services,
speech and occupational therapy, education and programs created specifically to assist those who are
Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing and Deaf-Blind.
