Our team of audiologists provide comprehensive hearing evaluations and rehabilitative audiologic services, including tinnitus management and cochlear implant services to people of all ages. We provide provide personalized services to address the listening needs of each of our patients. Our focus on education empowers patients and their families to make informed decisions about hearing loss and amplification choices.
We have been a leader in hearing health care since 1923, and while many things have changed over the years, one thing has remained constant – our dedication to providing the highest quality care possible to our friends and neighbors in central Ohio.
Kayla Kirk, Au.D.
Audiologist
Emily Kirkendall, Au.D.
Audiologist
Dr. Kirkendall joined the Center in 2007. She earned her Doctorate of Audiology from the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium in 2007 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology from the University of Akron in 2003. Emily received a pediatric leadership grant placement during graduate school and completed her 4th year internship at The Cleveland Clinic. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Ohio Academy of Audiology.
Emily’s areas of expertise include diagnostic services for pediatrics and adults. She also specializes in the assessment of patients with tinnitus and leads our Senior Options Older Adult Outreach program funded by the Franklin County Office on Aging.
Jessica Lockhart, Au.D.
Audiologist
Dr. Lockhart joined the Center in 2008. She earned her Doctorate of Audiology from Ohio State University in 2008 and received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from Ohio State University in 2004. Dr. Lockhart’s areas of expertise include services for pediatrics and adults, with an emphasis in diagnostic evaluations and hearing aid dispensing.
Lisa Richmond, M.A.
Audiologist
Ms. Richmond joined the Center in 2014. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Kent State University in 2000. Ms. Richmond’s areas of expertise include diagnostic services for adults, with a special interest in adult aural rehabilitation and dispensing hearing aids.
Ann Wheat, Au.D.
Senior Audiologist
Dr. Wheat joined the Center in 1988. She earned her Doctorate of Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2008 and received her Master’s degree from University of Texas at Austin in 1986. Dr. Wheat’s areas of expertise include pediatric diagnostic and rehabilitative services and aural rehabilitation for patients using cochlear implants. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Ohio Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Wheat is Past-President of the Ohio Academy of Audiology (OAA). She also served as the audiology representative on the Ohio Hearing Aid Fitters and Dispensers Board and is currently part of the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening subcommittee.
